A chamber one-act opera, “Baruchs’ Silence,” tells the haunting, semi-autobiographical story of the composer’s father — a Holocaust survivor who never spoke of his past — using expressive vocal writing, spoken text, and minimalist orchestration to explore memory, trauma, and the silence passed from one generation to the next.
